Go Red for Women celebrated at Town Hall and City Hall

Every year, 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke. The good news is that lifestyle change can be the cure.

To save lives and raise awareness of this serious issue, the American Heart Association launched Go Red For Women a decade ago.

National Wear Red Day® is the special day which brings attention to this staggering fact and was celebrated at City/Town Hall this month.

The Health Department encouraged City/Town Hall employees to wear red, offered blood pressure checks and taught new yoga stretches to do at the office.

If one knows their cardiovascular risk, adopts a few healthy recipes to cook at home and moves a little bit more each day, every family can take action to live longer, healthier lives.
