In spite of the rain, the Sally Frank/Melrose Farmers Market held a successful healthy, in-season food demonstration on June 27, 2013!
Melrose-Wakefield Hospital/Hallmark Health Systems‘ Executive Chef Peter Guiliano and Clinical Dietitian Emmie Burke made Strawberry Avocado Salsa.
Emmie came to the market at 1pm when it opened to pick up the strawberries and cilantro she needed, then Peter and Emmie arrived at 3pm with all the ingredients prepared that they needed to make the salsa at the market; they handed out samples and recipes for people to take back with them to make themselves.
It tasted amazing. Try the salsa at home!
