Successful Spring 2017 StoryWalk®

”It’s Spring!” by Linda Glaser was the Spring self-guided StoryWalk® through the Middlesex Fells at Greenwood Park, across from the Stone Zoo.   This was the twelfth walk done collaboratively by the Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation, MA Department of Conservation and Recreation, Malden CFCE, Mass in Motion, Medford Family Network and the North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network.  Sixty-five families participated in the walk for a total of 208 people.  People came from 12 different MA and NH communities.  The total for the twelve walks is 1,297 families and 4,176 people.  Please look for our next walk during the summer of 2017.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg‐Hubbard Library for their work and inspiration. The StoryWalk® is designed to focus on the resources of the surrounding environment and bring small children out to the parks to enjoy the wonders of nature.

Thank you for your support of these walks!
